Patience fosters contentment.
Please discuss. How does this play out in life?
I’ll start us out. Many of us—and I’m in that group—are not long on patience. We stress when things don’t happen quickly, if not immediately, and have difficulty watching a situation slowly mature.
The problem with this is that while we’re awaiting the desired outcome we’re dissatisfied with the wait and the current state. Impatience robs us of the ability to enjoy the moment and wires us to be unhappy.
Today’s message advises me to strengthen my patience muscle by shifting my focus to current state goodness. The more patient I become, the more keenly I can appreciate andand be grateful for the present. When I focus happily on right now, longer-term developments can unfold more easily and freely.
How about you? Are you a patient person?
