NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1594

What matters to you

Most of us would like to see changes in life, in our own lives and in the general social, economic, and political landscape. We also may be leery of the ability of those we think of as in power to effect useful and beneficial changes.

This skepticism may leave us feeling a bit powerless. Larger scale issues, in particular, may feel outside of our control.

In this we may be mistaken. It’s likely that the most impactful changes in our lives come from our own beliefs, attitudes, choices, and actions. We hold more power than anyone or anything else to steer the course of our existence.

While we may not be able to make significant impact on widespread or sweeping issues on our own, we certainly can effect change in these areas in our own local sphere. We can live our lives in accordance with what we feel is good and benevolent and can encourage others to do so as well.

We also can ensure that our beliefs, thoughts, and actions align with our goals. That may not sound like something that needs self-examination, but we may have the propensity for unintentional self-sabotage. When our outer goals and our inner vision, thoughts, focus, and energy align, we have the ability to more easily manifest our dreams.

Today’s message invites me to review what really matters to me and to take stock of how I might better support my priorities in the coming year. When I put my energy and focus on what I can accomplish, rather than what others may or may not be doing, I have the ability to create positive change.

Please reflect and share. What matters most to you and how might you best support your priorities this year?
