NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 510

It’s getting better all the time.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

Sometimes what seem to be set backs hit us hard. Things can seem to be fine and then—wham!—they seem to go bad. It can be frightening and disheartening. How can such an experience feel anything but negative?

Everything and everyone in life teaches us. This is especially true of hard times and road blocks. Through them we can learn new perspectives, behaviors, and coping skills. In short, they can refine us in ways that will help us be happier and more successful and fulfilled in life. But only if we are willing to leverage the associated lesson(s) neutrally and gratefully.

Today’s message—courtesy of the Beatles—inspires me to make sure I find an upside in difficult circumstances. When I don’t take challenges personally and look to find positives, I will certainly find what I expect. My life gets even better each time I let a set back teach me.

How about you? Do you feel hard times have made you a better person?
