NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 441

The obvious is not always obvious.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

Certain things are unmistakable to us. Even in complex situations, they shine forth clearly for us to see. Amazingly enough, in the same scenarios others may fail to recognize the obvious. How are they unable to identify what is so easy for us to perceive?

We recognize and identify what we are able, willing, and patterned to see. This is true for all of us. As a result, we all have blind spots, areas in which we do not perceive accurately. In order to see what is rather than what we wish/hope/fear/are accustomed to see as true, we need to allow different input. We must permit things to get past our blind spots.

Today’s message asks me to ruminate on my blocks to seeing clearly. What treasured myths do I indulge instead of reality? What patterns do I tend to see overlaid on current events? What do I fear so much that I’m unwilling to acknowledge it? When I encounter another individual with blind spots, it’s a sign it’s time to examine my own.

How about you? How do you get past your blind spots?
