NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1222

You know what to do.

Sometimes we struggle with figuring out the best course of action. We weigh pros and cons, we research, we ask others’ opinions, we meditate or pray, we do tarot readings and look for signs.

It’s hard work, all this struggling. But we want to get it right. We don’t want to have regrets later.

However usually, on some level, we already know the answer. We may not want to admit the solution to ourselves; we might not like some aspect of it. Or we may be concerned that the solution presents itself so easily. Surely, we must be missing something.

Or we may just be addicted to dithering. There is a biochemical nature to emotions, and we can become accustomed to the chemistry of a particular emotion. Our addiction can then lead us to generate events which will evoke that emotion, subconsciously feeding itself.

We can short circuit the struggle by getting quiet and going within and listening to ourselves. The input may come as words, images, bodily sensations, or a sense of knowing. Whatever our means of self-communication, the more we practice, the easier it will be for us to recognize our answers.

Today’s message reminds me that I don’t need to struggle for an answer. I just need to trust my own awareness.

Please reflect and share. Do you struggle with decision making?
