Notes From The Awareness: 323

The best things in life are so very good because we love them.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. We all have favorite things in life, experiences and beings that invariably bring us happiness. Caring for or spending time with a child or companion animal; focusing our effort and inspiration in a dream or career; playing a sport passionately; letting our soul spill out in music, art, or writing; sharing intimate time with our beloved—these are all ways we imbue our love into things that bring us joy.

It’s easy to love activities and folks that intrinsically incite happiness in us. But do we love them because they make us happy or do they make us happy because we love them? Or is it possibly is it a bit of both?

Today’s message invites me to expand my definition of what brings me joy and what I love. Are there perhaps latent sources of happiness that would spring to life eagerly with the application of my love and focus? What magic might happen if I loved the people and things I find difficult? How might I discover more very best things using love as my compass and catalyst? It’s time for me to further explore the alchemical properties of love.

How about you? Are you willing to expand the ways in which you apply love?
