Notes From The Awareness: 235

There is no such thing as pure.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. We hold a variety of ideas about purity—virginal, unadulterated, unpolluted, clean, angelic, sinless. We think of it as a wholesome state, but one that can be besmirched. When the concept is applied to people, it’s usually thought of as an initial, one-time quality that once lost cannot be reinstated.

We’ve all had things done to us or done things to ourselves that we feel have tainted us. These things may have left us feeling broken or scarred, as if our original state can never be restored. We suffer and struggle as a result, trying to get back what we feel we’ve lost, although we may fear that will never be possible.

In divine reality, we are all aspects of interconnected loving consciousness. In this web of creation, all beings and things are equal and flawless. By nature of our divine interconnection, purity is an illusion. We are inseparable from the divine, so never can be anything but perfect. Nothing can truly damage our essential divine nature, no one can take it away from us, so there is nothing to restore. We are eternally blessed, full of grace, vessels of divine mojo.

Today’s message reminds me that there is nothing about or within myself that needs fixing. If certain aspect of my past or my persona don’t make me happy, I can choose beliefs, thoughts, and actions that lift me up or bring me joy. I am not flawed or damaged, and I merely need to make choices that help me feel good about myself and life.

How about you? How do you relate to the concept of purity?
