Communication is where it’s at.

Often, we know how we’d like others to interact with us. All too frequently, that doesn’t happen.

We get frustrated with the other folks involved. We may feel defensive and underappreciated.

This all might have been averted if we had clearly expressed what we wanted and needed. We may feel that others should just “know” this. But we often may treat others as we treat ourselves or might wish to be treated.

Each individual’s needs and desires are unique. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. The fastest and most effective way to help others understand our expectations and desires is to tell them clearly.

Today’s message invites me to be clear and kind in stating what I need. This will help me get more of what I want and avoid potential conflicts or hard feelings with others.

Please reflect and share. Are you comfortable asking for what you want?
