Reverse and try a different route.

Sometimes situations balk us. We can’t make the progress we want. Often, we’ll try the same things numerous times with the identical undesired result. We seem to be going nowhere.

We might wish that a vision of the path forward would make itself clear. And it has done so, although we might not recognize it. The best course likely is to back off and attempt a different approach.

To reverse course isn’t weakness. It represents the mental flexibility to know when our efforts are in vain as well as the willingness not to be rigid in our approach.

Today’s message encourages me to employ new tactics when plans aren’t gelling. I don’t need to be downhearted. I can instead be cheerful that I have alternatives to try. I take a relaxing breath and begin again.

Please reflect and share. What issue of yours might benefit from a different approach?
