Balance keeps us sane.
We all tend to get out of balance in some way. In our western society, this often plays out in how we focus our energy on work life and home life.
There are other pulls on us as well, many of them self-inflicted. We may overindulge in food, beverages, or drugs to the detriment of our health. Screen time may dominate our leisure hours at the expense of our physical well-being.
Logic may take precedence over feelings in our decision making or conversely, we may make impulsive choices. Our spirituality and ethics may take a back seat to financial concerns, or zealotism and bigotry may narrow our perceptions.
Today’s message advises me of the importance of moderation and balance. When I honor all aspects of my being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—I find happiness and inner stability amid the continuous changes of life.
