NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1388

Eclipse

Today most of us were very aware of the solar eclipse. Even if we weren’t in the path of totality, we likely were viewing images of it on screens and seeing what we could see in our local areas with the aid of special eclipse glasses.

The visuals were moving. The stillness of nature was a bit eerie. It was a spectacle.

The eclipse also serves as a personal metaphor for us. What have we been permitting to eclipse our own light? And what do we want to do about it?

So many things can get in the way of us radiating our best selves forth. We get busy; we get in ruts; we get caught up in doing what we or others think we should do. Old dysfunctions can rob us of joy and darken our existence. And all this can get in front of us doing what makes us happy and fulfilled, what makes us shine.

So, today is a good day to ponder what’s in our way and how we might make that different. Do we need to improve our self-care? Or do we need to establish better personal boundaries? Do we need to put our own interests and happiness out front more than we have in the past? Or do we simply need to let some older patterns and behaviors go?

Whatever has gotten in the way of our own radiant selves, we can choose to moderate our attitudes and behaviors. We can get prioritize our own glow and mojo a bit more.

Today’s message advises me to be more mindful of what gets in the way of my personal light. When I shift myself, my light won’t be as easily eclipsed.

Please reflect and share. What is the eclipse telling you?
